55 Fiction #6- A Trouble with Words

She stared at the keyboard and the blinking cursor on the screen in turns. The blank page seemed intimidating; too vast to fill. The keys looked like strange tools, each separate; not part of the whole. - - - Next day, she stared at the tip of the pen and the lone dot on paper it had made.

55 Fiction #5- The Good Neighbourhood

Ever since Deepa had opened that café opposite Hari's, all his customers had migrated.  Don't know what hari told his drunkard friend one night that many  civilized men came and set Deepa's shop on fire the next day.  They said they wouldn't allow prostitution behind doors, in the name of a café, in their colony. - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

55 Fiction #4- A Happy Family Outing

The fat family sat at the table having their burgers and drinks and donuts.  The incongruous boy of ten sat separately. His table lay sparkling empty, obviously.  He looked not at his masters (stuffing themselves), but he was ready, should they call. He was hopeful. But they ate and left, leaving him to scamper behind. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - P.S: This is not really a fiction. It is based entirely on my own witness. So much for child labour laws.

55 Fiction #3- Waiting for Cheetos

'Hey champion, hungry? Want something?', asked Andrew's dad, crouching down in that busy corridor. He nodded without saying 'Cheetos and Twinkies'. ‘Okay, don’t go anywhere. I’ll be back in a jiffy.’ Five minutes later, out of the courtroom herself, his mom dragged him to the car and he could only say, ‘But mommy… daddy… ’ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - P.S: This was an out of the blue idea and I would love to know how did you find it? Do leave a comment ;) P.P.S: I missed writing fiction.

55 Fiction #2- The Arrangement (with alternate ending)

The kiss had been awkward well. She was still sitting at the pier. As soon as he'll cross the board, the sniper will shoot her. That had been the arrangement. But right at the edge he heard a loud crack, got a huge blow, felt his back burn and fell down. He had been tricked. - - - - - - - - - - - - - -  P.S: I wrote a different ending earlier for this. Would you like me to include that one??

55 Fiction #1- At The Bar

Brian : And then he said "you're a portly, good for nothing bag of fatty shit".. Kenneth : And you said? Brian : I said "that's not nice of you" Kenneth : What! That's it, just ' that's not nice of you'  ? Nothing else? Brian(nervously) : I also said 'mister' after that. Kenneth stood aghast, staring at Brian. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -  # I don't know if there are any rules for writing 55 Fiction. This is my first(obvious by the title) and I hope you don't dislike it that much.
